Aircraft operators are obliged to file an annual emissions report every year. This report determines the number of allowances AOs need to transfer to the authorities for compensating the emissions caused by their operations. Starting from 2012 all aircraft operators have to submit reports by March 31st and surrender allowances required until 30th of April every year. Non-compliance with the deadline will lead to legal consequences and fines.
